UGREEN NASync DXP4800 Pro UK: Price, 10GbE and Buying Guide

CloudZat UK | AI NAS, 10GbE and creator storage

Quick buying answer

Choose the DXP4800 Pro if four bays are enough and you value the Core i3 platform alongside 10GbE. Choose the DXP4800 GT when dual 10GbE is the stronger requirement.

Best for

Power users running storage, media services, containers and faster-than-2.5GbE networking.

Choose something else if

Choose DXP6800 Pro or DXP8800 Plus if you need more bays, dual 10GbE or Thunderbolt 4.

Check before buying

Check whether the listing is diskless, the installed RAM, and whether your network can use the 10GbE port.

What matters for a UK buyer

The DXP4800 Pro is UGREEN's higher-CPU 4-bay option, built around Intel's Core i3-1315U. It combines one 10GbE port, one 2.5GbE port and two M.2 slots in a compact four-bay chassis.

It suits buyers who want a capable NAS for containers, media, file services and faster networking without stepping up to six bays. The main comparison is the DXP4800 GT: GT gives you dual 10GbE, while Pro gives you the Intel i3 platform.

Detailed buying guide

What is the main advantage of the DXP4800 Pro?

The Core i3-1315U gives this model more general-purpose CPU headroom than entry NAS processors, which can matter for Docker, indexing, media tasks and several services running together.

That does not automatically make it faster for large file transfers. Network and disk-array throughput still set the ceiling for storage workloads.

How does its networking differ from the DXP4800 GT?

The Pro has one 10GbE port and one 2.5GbE port. The GT has two 10GbE ports. A single 10GbE link is already enough for many one-workstation setups.

Dual 10GbE becomes more relevant for link aggregation, separate high-speed networks or several heavy clients, depending on your switch and workload.

Is four bays enough for long-term growth?

Four bays can provide a strong balance of capacity and footprint, but adding drives later is less flexible than starting with six or eight bays.

Estimate your usable capacity after RAID, expected annual growth and backup needs before buying drives. If the forecast is tight, a larger chassis may be cheaper than an early replacement.

Can it be used for Plex or other media servers?

The Intel platform is attractive for media-server workloads, but actual transcoding support depends on the codec, application, operating system and client requirements.

Whenever possible, direct play reduces CPU demand. Do not buy solely from a generic transcoding claim without checking your actual media formats.

Do the M.2 slots replace hard drives?

They provide additional NVMe options, but the best layout depends on UGOS Pro and your workload. They can be useful for fast storage roles, application data or caching.

Keep backups separate from any performance tier. Faster local storage does not protect against deletion, ransomware or enclosure failure.

What should I check on Amazon?

Confirm the full model name DXP4800 Pro, not DXP4800 Plus or GT. Also check whether drives are included, because bundle titles can make the headline price look very different.

Finally, verify the seller, memory configuration and delivery date before ordering.

How to read this comparison

Products are grouped by the exact storage model, drive-bay count, networking and interface information shown in the listing. If an important specification is unclear, it is marked as not confirmed rather than guessed. Drive trays, cables, adapters, docks and unrelated bare drives are left out of the main results.

Prices and availability can change quickly. Use the last-checked time as a freshness guide, then confirm the current price, seller, delivery date and exact configuration on Amazon before ordering.

This page covers Amazon offers rather than every UK retailer. Compare the complete configuration and total delivered cost, not just the headline price.

Frequently asked questions

Does this page compare every UK retailer?

No. Live prices on this page come from Amazon. Other UK retailers may have different stock, bundles or delivery terms, so compare the exact model and what is included before ordering.

Why can the Amazon price change after I click?

Prices and availability can change between checks. Use the last-checked time on each card as a freshness guide, then confirm the current price, seller, condition and delivery date on Amazon.

Are hard drives included with every NAS or DAS listing?

No. Many enclosures are sold diskless, while some listings include drives. Check the title and included-items section carefully because the chassis model alone does not confirm installed storage.

Does a 10GbE port guarantee 10Gbps file transfers?

No. Real throughput depends on the drives, RAID layout, SSD cache, client network adapter, switch, cabling, protocol and workload. A 10GbE port removes one bottleneck but does not eliminate the others.

Can an accessory appear instead of the complete storage system?

The main results are intended for complete NAS, DAS or external-storage products. Still confirm that the listing is the enclosure or complete unit you expect rather than a drive tray, cable, adapter or replacement part.

What happens when an important specification is unclear?

The page leaves unclear details as not confirmed rather than copying a specification from a similar model. Check the exact Amazon listing when drive bays, networking, memory or included storage matters to your purchase.
