Identify exactly when the connection drops

Record the precise trigger. A reproducible failure is easier to solve than a vague report, and it reduces the temptation to erase the SSD without evidence.
Protect footage before repeated testing
A disconnect during a file-system update or video write can leave an incomplete file and may require repair. If the SSD contains valuable footage, copy every accessible file to another verified destination before running benchmarks or recreating the failure many times. Do not use the troubled drive as the only source and destination during recovery.
After the data is safe, create a small dedicated test folder or record replaceable clips. This keeps diagnosis separate from the production media.
Cable and connector problems

Repeat the test in shade, remove unnecessary cases and separate the SSD from hot charging components. Compare the failure time. If the drive always disconnects at a similar interval on several hosts, collect that evidence for the manufacturer. Do not cool electronics with condensation-producing methods.
