Price tracker
Use this tracker to compare complete PC power supplies while excluding modular cable kits, adapters and replacement leads. Size the PSU for the real system load first, then compare quality, connector support, efficiency, warranty and price.
Choose enough wattage for the CPU and GPU with sensible headroom, then prefer a reputable unit with the connectors your hardware requires. For modern high-end GPUs, native current-generation GPU power connectors are preferable to awkward adapter chains. Do not buy purely by wattage or 80 PLUS badge.
- Size wattage from the CPU and GPU first, with headroom for transient loads and future upgrades.
- Check the exact GPU power connectors and ATX generation, not just the headline wattage.
- Treat efficiency, platform quality, warranty and noise as part of value; two 850W units can be very different purchases.

Buying guide
How to compare this market before you buy
Choose the right wattage
Estimate the maximum draw of the CPU, GPU and the rest of the system, then leave sensible headroom. Running a quality PSU comfortably below its limit is usually better than buying a unit that will operate near maximum output.
More wattage is not automatically better. Oversizing far beyond your likely load can cost more without improving reliability, while undersizing can create instability or force an early replacement.
Check connectors before price
Confirm the number and type of PCIe, CPU EPS, SATA and motherboard connectors your build needs. High-end graphics cards may benefit from a native modern GPU power connector rather than multiple adapters.
Modular cables are not universally interchangeable between PSU models. Never assume a cable from an older unit is safe with a new power supply unless the manufacturer explicitly confirms compatibility.
Compare quality, warranty and acoustics
Efficiency certification is useful, but it is not a complete measure of electrical quality. Brand, platform reputation, protections, fan behavior and warranty length also matter.
If two units are close in price, a longer warranty, quieter fan profile or better connector set can make the slightly more expensive PSU the better long-term buy.
Use price history as context
The tracker compares the current saved price with the same PSU’s recent price history. BUY, WATCH and WAIT describe price position, not electrical quality or a prediction of future prices.
COMPARE means the product is new to the tracker or lacks enough observations for a reliable history call. In that case, compare the current price against equivalent units with similar wattage, quality and warranty.
When to buy
Buy when the unit is correctly sized, has the required connectors and is from a quality tier you trust. Waiting for a small discount is rarely worth compromising the power foundation of an expensive system.
If a higher-quality model falls close to the price of a basic unit, that is usually a better use of the budget than buying extra wattage you do not need.
What can make a PSU price misleading
Power-supply families often contain several wattages, efficiency levels and connector revisions under one product name. A 750W version can sit beside an 850W or 1000W unit on the same listing, and older revisions may not have the native GPU connector you expected. Compare the exact wattage and model generation before treating one price as equivalent to another.
A low-cost unit may also shorten the warranty, reduce modularity or use a different internal platform. These differences are not visible in the headline wattage. For an expensive GPU or workstation, saving a small amount on the PSU is rarely worthwhile if it sacrifices connector support, electrical protections or long-term confidence.
Final PSU check before checkout
Confirm the exact model, wattage, physical length, CPU EPS connectors, GPU connectors and warranty. Make sure the case can fit the unit and its cables, especially with compact cases or side-mounted connectors. Never reuse modular cables from another PSU unless the manufacturer explicitly lists them as compatible.
After those checks, use the price history to decide whether the current offer is attractive. If the unit is a good match for the system and already sits near its recent low, that is a more useful buying signal than chasing the absolute cheapest power supply in the category.
Use the filters to narrow the shortlist
Use brand and maximum-price filters only after deciding the wattage and connector requirements. A price ceiling is most useful when every remaining unit can safely power the system. If a lower-priced PSU lacks the native connectors or warranty you want, it should not stay in the shortlist simply because it meets the budget.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How often should power supplies prices be checked?
Cloudzat records price observations over time. The verification date shown beside each price tells you how recent that observation is.
Will a later retailer check remove a saved price?
No. A zero or missing later price does not overwrite a positive verified price.
Will a missing image remove the product image?
No. The last usable verified image remains until a new valid image replaces it.
Does BUY predict the next price move?
No. BUY only means the current saved price is near the low end of this exact product’s recorded range; it is not a forecast.
What does COMPARE mean?
COMPARE means Cloudzat has the current verified price but not enough saved observations to make a reliable BUY, WATCH or WAIT price-history verdict yet.
Are filters separate indexable pages?
No. Brand, budget and specification choices stay as filters on this tracker unless a genuinely different search intent already has its own Cloudzat URL.
Does this tracker replace existing Cloudzat content?
No. It is an additional gap page and links to relevant existing finders, buying guides and specialist price pages.
Should I confirm the final price on Amazon?
Yes. Retail prices can change after the last verified observation, so confirm the live total and exact configuration before buying.
