Purpose: SkyHawk 4TB buying guide
Quick answer: Buy ST4000VX015 or ST4000VX016 if you want a current 4TB CMR SkyHawk. Avoid treating older ST4000VX013 as equivalent because it is an SMR revision. Confirm your recorder supports a 4TB SATA surveillance drive, then use the retention calculator to check whether 4TB is actually enough.
